Joachim, Joseph

Joseph Joachim(1831-1907), German violinist, studied at Vienna Conservatory and Leipzig Conservatory. In 1844 he began concert tour, served as a concertmaster under Liszt in Weimar, in 1852 served as violinist to the King of Hanover, later appointed as the director of the Berlin Hochschule fur Musik. He composed 3 violin concertos, 5 concert overtures, viola and violin pieces.
